Antique French Louis XV Pattern Luncheon Fork. Large Spoons 22 Piece Set. This French silver 950 in the beautiful Louis XV pattern, by renowned Parisian silversmith Emile Puiforcat. This 22 piece luncheon or dessert set has 8 forks (7 inch), 8 knifes (8 1/8 inch) last knife on far right has different blade from others (See last knife in photo) and 6 large spoons (7 inch), finely decorated on both sides with scrolls and foliage. Louis XV is an early Puiforcat pattern, long out of production, so rarely seen today. All are lovely quality; the forks have long elegant tines, and are in excellent condition, with no monograms. Two hallmarks are present, makers mark EP in diamond lozenge, with penknife between the letters, and French Minerva 1st Standard mark, with 1 next to forehead, indicating 950 purity. Emile Puiforcat established his business in 1857 it still exists today and is known as of the leading French silver producers. Items have been in storage for some time and show shelf scratches.
